Born in New York City on May 3, 1919, he sparked a revolution in folk music and held an influential role in both the civil rights and environmental movements. Thank YOU, Hannah! 2013 Union Plus Scholarship winner takes her passion for dance to Beijing

Last year, Union Plus awarded $150,000 in scholarships to 115 students, representing 36 unions, in the 2013 Union Plus Scholarship Program. In this 22nd year of the program, more than 5,300 applications were received from union members and families in all 50 states. Hannah Garner of Montclair, NJ, whose father Patrick is a SAG-AFTRA member, was awarded a $1,000 scholarship last year to continue her passion for dance. To say thanks, she sent us some photos of her studies abroad at the Beijing Dance Academy that we'd like to share with you.
