NEW Union Plus Scholarship online application now available

For over 15 years, Union Plus has awarded more than $3 million in scholarships to help union families pay for college.  Scholarships range from $500 to $4,000. Now you or your student can complete and submit a 2012 Union Plus scholarship application entirely online. 

In 2010, 130 union members and their family members received $150,000 in scholarships, ranging from $500 to $4,000. View the list of 2011 scholarship winners here.

Who can apply:  Current and retired participating union members, their spouses and their children.  

What kind of school is eligible:  The scholarship is open to students who attend or plan to attend a college, university, community college, or a technical/trade school.  Students attending undergraduate or graduate schools are eligible.

Scholarship amounts:  Recipients will be awarded $500 to $4,000.

Deadline to apply:  Tuesday, January 31, 2012 (11:59 pm Eastern Time)

Scholarship recipients announced:  Tuesday, May 31, 2012
