Bring the AT&T wireless savings coupon and one of the following acceptable forms of union identification to the store:

Wireless Phone Tips
- Find the right AT&T wireless plan and cell phone - advice from ConsumerReports.org
- People don't realize they could unknowingly be inviting spam when they download ringtones, games and other stuff from vendors they don't know or trust.
- To help minimize cell phone spam, Consumer Reports says you can call your carrier right away. That way you're more likely to have charges for messages waived before they pile up, and you can block spam at the source. Go to your AT&T cell phone account online, access preferences for text messages and email and block text messages from Internet-based accounts.
- To block cell phone spam, you can also register your cell phone number with the National Do-Not Call Registry.
- Also, you can file a complaint about cell phone spam with the FCC.
- Download a Solidarity Forever ringtone.
FAQ
What is covered under the discount?
The discount is available on the primary line of an individual or family plan. Additional lines for family plans are not included. Data services on secondary lines are not discounted also.
What is the activation fee?
There is a $36 fee for any new account unless waived through a promotion.
Do I have to pay a conversion fee?
For existing AT&T customers who transfer their account to the Union Plus AT&T Wireless discount program, the conversion fee will be waived from now until June 30, 2010. If you've been charged the $36 conversion fee, email unionhelp@awsmail.att.com. Provide your full name, address, wireless phone number for the account and union affiliation.
Are there discounts available on equipment?
Eligible customers have the option to either take advantage of any promotional pricing on equipment that is offered at time of purchase.
What is the Equipment Upgrade Fee?
There is an $18 fee charged for all upgraded equipment.
Does the Union Plus discount apply to an iPhone?
Yes, But only to the 3G IPhone. We cannot offer the IRU discount on the 2G.
What is the minimum rate plan the IRU discount can be applied too?
The rate plan has to be higher than $34.99.

The program is currently for residents in the United States and not available in Guam or Canada.*
Who is eligible?

- Spouse, domestic partners, and children may be included as part of the union member's family plan
- Widows/widowers of labor union members may take over accounts initiated by the member only

I'm an AFT member now and got a Union Plus Credit card and just discovered that AT&T is the ONLY unionized wireless company. Will never switch. Service is great and I support union labor any way that I can. I will tell all my friends to switch to AT&T because they are union supporters as well. The only set back is that you have to go with their 'due date' because if you chose a day that is beter for you (for myself, the 1st of the month would be PERFECT as I am paid at the end of each working month), you LOSE the discount. With a little time, he/she was able to complete the transaction. I recommend being patient with the rep since he/she may be dealing with many programs. Also keep the code/confirmation number handy while completing the transaction.
