Union Plus Benefits Eligibility

Current and retired union members can use the Union Plus benefits right now. Find out below how many people in your family are also eligible to share in the money-saving benefits of your union membership.

Most Union Plus benefits are available throughout the United States. However, the availability of some varies in the 50 states as well as in Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Check on the geographic availability of the benefit(s) in which you're interested below.

 

Union Plus Programs — Eligibility for All Programs

1 Not available in these areas at this time, but working on regulatory approval.

2 Available to Canadian members if attending a U.S. school.

3 Free or Standard program available only (since there are no dental providers). Note that in USVI there are only 2 participating retail pharmacies and no participating providers for other program benefits (vision, hearing and foot & ankle care).

4 The program can be offered in these areas, but currently there are no participating attorneys. Forward attorney recommendations to Union Privilege.

6 Not available in the province of Quebec.

7 Program is available to members living in these areas.  Travel: cruises/vacation packages/tours originate only in certain U.S. gateway cities.

Union members are automatically eligible for their union's Union Plus benefits and you do not need to be a Union Plus Credit Cardholder in order to access your union's Union Plus benefits.

But - if you are a Union Plus Credit Cardholder, you could be eligible for additional discounts.

    Help if you don’t know your union

    Your union membership dictates which Union Plus benefits you are eligible to use.

    1. What your national union’s name (not just your local number)? Scroll through the list we have to see if you recognize your union.
    2. What type of work do you do (select your occupation)?
    3. Do you have a union member card or union publication/letter that shows the name of your union? Find something with the name of your union, not just a local number.
    4. Is there a shop steward or work colleague you can ask what the name of your union is? You can even ask your human resources department to tell you the full name of your union?
    5. Do you have a Union Plus Credit Card? If so, the name and logo for your international union should appear on the front of the card.
