How does it work?

  1. Join one of the following Union Plus Health Savings programs.
  2. After you join a program, you'll receive a Union Plus Health Savings card.
  3. Search for a provider in your area and make an appointment.
  4. Show your Union Plus Health Savings discount card at your doctor's appointment or pharmacy.
  5. Receive instant savings with the Union Plus Health Savings reduced fees.

This plan does not meet the minimum creditable coverage requirements under M.G.L. c. 111M and 956 CMR 5.00. The plan provides discounts at certain health care providers for medical services. The range of discounts will vary depending on the type of provider and service. The plan does not make payments directly to the providers of medical services. Plan members are obligated to pay for all health care services but will receive a discount from those health care providers who have contracted with the discount medical plan organization. You may access a list of participating health care providers at www.UnionPlus.org/HealthSavings. Upon request the plan will make available a written list of participating health care providers. You have the right to cancel within the first 30 days after receipt of membership materials and receive a full refund, less a nominal processing fee (nominal fee for MD residents is $5). Eligibility

The program is for United States residents and is not available in Guam, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, or Canada.

The Vision, Dental and Doctor & Hospital Discounts Health Savings programs are not available in Montana and Vermont. The Prescription Card program is not available in New Hampshire.

Who is eligible?

  • Dues-paying labor union members of participating unions
  • Retired union members
  • Widows/widowers of union members
  • Spouse, domestic partners, and children may be included
  • Union Plus credit cardholders

    Your union membership dictates which Union Plus benefits you are eligible to use.

    1. What your national union’s name (not just your local number)? Scroll through the list we have to see if you recognize your union.
    2. What type of work do you do (select your occupation)?
    3. Do you have a union member card or union publication/letter that shows the name of your union? Find something with the name of your union, not just a local number.
    4. Is there a shop steward or work colleague you can ask what the name of your union is? You can even ask your human resources department to tell you the full name of your union?
    5. Do you have a Union Plus Credit Card? If so, the name and logo for your international union should appear on the front of the card.
