    Falling behind on your house payments can lead to foreclosure. If you're facing financial problems and are at risk of missing a mortgage payment, call the free Union Plus Save My Home Hotline at 1-866-490-5361 anytime of day or night.

  2. Union Plus Credit Counseling - Free counseling - 1-877-833-1745

    Striking union members are eligible for a free credit counseling session that includes a budget analysis and money management advice.

    If you need additional assistance to get out of debt, your credit counselor can develop a custom Debt Management Plan consolidating all your debts into one monthly payment. Union members receive a 33% discount on creating this plan.

  3. Union Plus Credit Card - Skip payments -1-800-622-2580

    The Union Plus Credit Card has a skip-payment plan for members of most unions during union-sanctioned strikes and lockouts of 30 consecutive days or more, for accounts in good standing. You can skip up to three consecutive months and a total of four months in a year.

    During each skip-payment month, you must notify the bank that the strike is going on you want to skip a payment. You must make a payment after the third consecutive skipped payment; then you can use your fourth skip-payment option.

    To use this strike benefit, call the Union Plus Credit Card at 1-800-622-2580.

  4. Union Plus Health Savings - Free membership with healthcare discounts - 1-877-570-4845

    Union members on strike are eligible for a free membership in the Union Plus Health Savings Standard program (reg. $14.95) with its money-saving discounts on retail and mail order prescriptions (save up to 40% off generic, up to 15% off brand name), vision care, hearing care, and foot care.

    To access this strike benefit, call the Union Pus Health Savings provider at 1-877-570-4845 and mention you want a free membership as part of the Union Plus Disaster/Strike benefit.

  5. Union Plus Loan Program - Skip payments - 1-800-343-7097

    The Union Plus Loan Program has a strike helpline for assisting union members having trouble making payments on their Union Plus loans due to a strike.

    To access this strike benefit, call the Union Plus Loan Program at 1-800-343-7097. A specialist will determine the type of assistance you qualify for based on your account, payment, and credit history. You may be eligible to skip payments, reduce your interest rate, participate in short- or long-term hardship programs, negotiate an account settlement, and/or receive credit counseling.

    Note: The skip-payment option allows you to skip two payments per year as long as you have a history of on-time payment and your account is current. Finance charges continue to accrue, but no penalty fees apply. During strikes and other emergencies, you may qualify to skip an additional two payments for a total of four skipped payment in a 12-month period. Payments must be skipped two consecutive months at a time.

  6. Union Plus Mortgage Assistance - Interest-free loan and waiver of payment - 1-800-848-6466

  7. Union Plus Auto Insurance - Deferred premiums - 1-202-778-9838

    Union policyholders involved in a union-sanctioned strike or lock-out lasting 90 days or longer can defer premium payments for two months.

    To access this strike benefit, call The Union Plus Auto Insurance provider (AIG) at 1-202-778-9838 and speak with the Auto Insurance Program Manager at least two weeks prior to the 90th day of the strike. You'll receive a strike verification form and instructions for how to gain access to this benefit. Complete the form, have it signed by a union representative, then return the form with your insurance payment invoice in the postage-paid envelope provided.

    You are responsible for paying your deferred premiums within 60 days of strike settlement. If you remain on strike or locked out at the end of the two-payment period, you are once again responsible for paying your premiums.

  8. Union Plus Life Insurance - Waiver of premium - 1-800-899-2782

    Union Plus life insurance premiums are waived for 3 months during union-sanctioned strikes lasting more than 30 consecutive days. This waived premium never has to be repaid.

    To use this strike benefit, call Union Plus at 1-800-899-2782.

  9. Union Plus Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance - Waiver of premium - 1-800-899-2782

    Union Plus AD&D insurance premiums are waived beginning with the first quarterly premium due date following the start of the strike or lock-out and for up to one full year providing the coverage remains in force. This waived premium never has to be repaid.

    To use this strike benefit, call Union Plus at 1-800-899-2782.

  10. Union Plus Legal Service - Free consultation - 1-888-993-8889

    For legal issues related to your strike, contact your national or local union. For other legal matters, you have access to free legal advice with no enrollment fee or annual cost.

    Your union membership dictates which Union Plus benefits you are eligible to use.

    1. What your national union’s name (not just your local number)? Scroll through the list we have to see if you recognize your union.
    2. What type of work do you do (select your occupation)?
    3. Do you have a union member card or union publication/letter that shows the name of your union? Find something with the name of your union, not just a local number.
    4. Is there a shop steward or work colleague you can ask what the name of your union is? You can even ask your human resources department to tell you the full name of your union?
    5. Do you have a Union Plus Credit Card? If so, the name and logo for your international union should appear on the front of the card.
