The Union Plus Credit Card has no annual fee, a great competitive rate and special money-saving balance transfer offers. These features offer significant savings when compared to other cards.

  2. Can anyone apply for a Union Plus Credit Card?

No. The money-saving Union Plus Credit Card is available only to union members. It's one of the many benefits of union membership.

  3. How do I apply for a Union Plus Credit Card?

Members of participating unions may apply online or call 1-800-522-4000.

  4. Am I guaranteed to receive a credit card if I apply?

No. By applying for a Union Plus Credit Card, you authorize HSBC to obtain a current credit bureau report and to verify the information on your application. Once HSBC reviews the credit bureau and other information, it will make a decision. Please be advised that your union is not involved in credit decisions.

  5. Is the Union Plus Credit Card issued by the union?

No. The Union Plus Credit Card is issued by HSBC Bank (Nevada), N.A. and is serviced by its affiliate, HSBC Card Services Inc. and/or HSBC Card Services (II), Inc. Union Privilege manages the Union Plus Credit Card program. The Union Plus Credit Card is endorsed by the AFL-CIO and affiliated unions that participate in the program.

  6. Why is the Union Plus Credit Card such a great deal for working families?

The Union Plus Credit Card is the only credit card good enough to be endorsed by the AFL-CIO and affiliated participating unions. Program benefits were negotiated using the strength of the millions of union members.

  7. What should I do if my card is lost or stolen?

Contact a Customer Care representative immediately at 1-800-651-5116 to report the loss or theft of your card. Keep in mind, you are not liable for fraudulent use of your Union Plus Credit Card.

  8. Can I use my card to get cash?

Certainly. You can get instant cash at more than 911,000 automated teller machines (ATMs) and banks worldwide. For ATM locations, call 1-800-4-CIRRUS. Keep in mind that the cash rate may be higher than your everyday purchase rate. Check your Cardmember Agreement and Disclosure.

  9. What is a variable rate?

A variable rate is a rate that can change based on the index. The Union Plus Credit Card, for example, uses the Prime Rate as an index. We use the highest Prime Rate published in The Wall Street Journal on the first or last day of the month.
