If you purchase a new union-made car that’s EPA-certified through the Union Plus Auto Buying Service will automatically receive a rebate check within six to eight weeks of purchase.

Gas-saving tips
No matter what kind of car you drive, there are strategies you can use to save gas, and save money, every single day. Here are some ideas:
- Drive less. Walk, ride your bike, take public transportation and consolidate trips whenever you can.
- Follow price, not brand. Despite what the ads say, all gas is pretty much the same. If you fill up a 20-gallon tank once a week, saving 10 cents a gallon could save you over $100 a year.
- Maintain your vehicle. A few simple procedures like changing your oil and filters, checking your tire pressure and removing heavy items from your trunk can improve your mileage and save you money.
- Ask about flexible shifts. If your union employer allows for four-days-a-week work schedules, instead of five-days-a-week, you could start saving 20% immediately on the fuel you use for commuting.
- Drive smart. Maintain a constant speed. Don’t rev your engine needlessly. Don’t warm up your engine for longer than necessary. And, during the summer, park in the shade.

The Union Plus Auto Buying Service is available in the Unites States. It is not available in Canada, Guam, Puerto Rico, and Virgin Islands.
