ELIGIBILITY: The Unions Power America Live Event Giveaway also known as the UPA Giveaway (the “Promotion”) is open only to:

  • Legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia and other US territories & possessions (the "Territory");
  • Current or retired union members in good standing with a union nationally affiliated with the AFL-CIO. The list of affiliated unions may be viewed here https://aflcio.org/about-us/our-unions-and-allies/our-affiliated-unions;
  • Individuals who are eighteen (18) years of age or older; and
  • Individuals who are located in the Territory at the time of entry and are not otherwise prohibited from entry as set forth herein.

Union Privilege (“Sponsor”), SweepstakesPros (“Promotion Administrator”) and their respective parent companies, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, retailers, sales representatives, dealers, distributors, licensees and the advertising, fulfillment, judging and promotion agencies involved in the development and administration of this Promotion and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Promotion Parties”), and members of their immediate families (defined as including spouse, biological, adoptive and step-parents, grandparents, siblings, children and grandchildren, and each of their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) or households (whether related or not) of any of the above are not eligible to participate. The Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and is void outside the Territory and where prohibited by law. Other eligibility requirements and conditions of participation are set forth below in these official rules for the Promotion (“Official Rules”). By participating in this Promotion, entrants agree to abide by and be bound by these Official Rules and decisions of the independent Promotion Administrator, which shall be final in all matters relating to the Promotion. 

Promotion Period: The Promotion shall run during the YouTube Live broadcast of the Unions Power America Labor Day Live Event Giveaway (the “Live Event”) scheduled to run between approximately 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on September 1, 2025 (the "Promotion Period"). The times of the Live Event are subject to change. Visit www.unionplus.org/laborday (the “Website”) for Live Event details and times.

Minors: If an entrant is not of the legal age of majority in the jurisdiction in which he/she resides (a “Minor”), the Minor must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian to participate in the Promotion. The Sponsor or Promotion Administrator may require proof of consent at any time and in any manner they deem appropriate. The Minor’s parent or legal guardian must agree to all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules and confirm this agreement in writing, or the Minor will be disqualified. If a Minor is selected as a potential winner, the Minor’s parent or legal guardian must sign and return all required documentation, including, where lawful, a Publicity Release, within the time frame specified. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of all rights to the prize(s). If a prize is won by a Minor, it will be awarded in the name of the winner’s parent or legal guardian.

How to Enter: To enter, eligible individuals must, during the Promotion Period:

  • Visit the Website;
  • Follow the instructions to access and view the Live Event via YouTube;
  • Submit one or more comments in the YouTube Live chat during the Live Event. Each comment must also include the #UPAGiveaway hashtag.

Successfully complete all the steps above and each eligible, substantive, non-repetitive, and unique comment submitted per person / YouTube Account during the Live Event will count as one (1) entry in the Promotion. Entrants are encouraged to post multiple unique comments for additional entries. Entries will not be judged.

Entries must appear in the live chat for the Live Event and be visible to Sponsor. Filtered, deleted, hidden, or held-for-review comments are ineligible. Latency, device-clock differences, or transmission delays are not grounds for dispute.

Promotion Administrator, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any entry deemed inappropriate, offensive, or non-compliant with these Official Rules, including but not limited to content that is sexually explicit, violent, hateful, promotes illegal activities, or defames any person or entity. 

By entering, you acknowledge your entry may be publicly displayed by Sponsor, in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Posting an entry is not an indication that the entry has won a prize or is otherwise eligible for a prize.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, all entries and submissions become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned except as provided herein.

YouTube Conditions of Submission: This promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by YouTube. By entering, you release YouTube from any liability. All entries must comply with YouTube's Community Guidelines (available at https://www.youtube.com/howyoutubeworks/policies/community-guidelines/) and YouTube Terms of Service (available at https://www.youtube.com/static_templates/terms/terms_of_service.html) or shall be disqualified. This includes, but isn't limited to, content that is spam, deceptive, sexually explicit, violent, hateful, harassing, or that infringes on copyright or privacy. 

Rights Granted: To the maximum extent permitted by law, your entry will be the property of Sponsor, and may be displayed, used or altered by Sponsor (or its designees) for any purpose without any kind of payment to you. It also means that Sponsor or any of their affiliates may produce, market, sell or otherwise distribute products based on (in whole or in part) your entry. You irrevocably and forever grant and assign to Sponsor all worldwide right, title, and interest in and to your entry (and all works derived from it) as well as all intellectual property you create by participating in the Promotion. You expressly waive all rights to review or approve Sponsor's use of your entry and waive all rights of attribution, integrity, and moral rights if your entry is used by Sponsor or its designees.

By entering the Promotion, you agree that your entry is gratuitous, unsolicited, and without restriction, placing Sponsor under no obligations other than those contained in these Official Rules. Sponsor is free to disclose and use any ideas contained in the entry on a non-confidential basis without compensation to you. You acknowledge that Sponsor does not waive any rights to use similar or related ideas previously known to Sponsor, developed by its employees, or obtained from other sources. You further understand and acknowledge that you will not now or in the future be paid or compensated in any way for your entry or for granting Sponsor any of the rights set out in these Official Rules.

Any waiver of any obligation hereunder by Sponsor does not constitute a general waiver of any obligation to entrants. 

Random Win Selection: During the Promotion Period, the Sponsor’s representatives shall randomly select potential winners for each prize as follows: 

  • For Other Prizes: At approximately ten-minute intervals during the Live Event, excluding approximately the final ten (10) minutes of the Live Event, (each, a “Other Prize Selection Period”), up to nine (9) entries will be randomly selected, from the eligible entries received during each applicable Other Prize Selection Period, subject to validation, as the potential winners of an Other Prize designated by Sponsor.
  • For the Grand Prize: During approximately the last ten (10) minutes of the Live Event (the “Grand Prize Selection Period”), the Sponsor will randomly select the potential winner of the Grand Prize, subject to validation, from the eligible entries received during the Grand Prize Selection Period.

If the Live Event or chat is interrupted, slowed, or unavailable, Sponsor may adjust any Other Prize Selection Period and/or the Grand Prize Selection Period, reschedule, or, subject to the Promotion Administrator’s approval, conduct the affected selection by random drawing from among eligible entries received for the applicable prize opportunity up to the time of interruption.

Prizes & Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): There are a total of 45 prizes:

  • One (1) Grand Prize: A trip for two (2) valued up to $10,000 awarded in the form of a travel certificate from Colette Travel. The Collette $10,000 Travel Certificate is valid exclusively for the purchase of a guided tour with Collette, up to a maximum value of $10,000.00 USD. The certificate may be applied toward the total balance of a qualifying Collette tour, including both land and air, provided both components are booked through Collette as part of the same reservation. The certificate is valid for travel through December 31, 2026, and may be applied only to new reservations. It is not valid for previously booked travel. Travel must be booked at least 90 days in advance of the desired departure date. All tours are subject to availability and applicable travel restrictions. The Collette $10,000 Travel Certificate:
    • Is non-transferable, non-endorsable, and non-refundable.
    • Has no cash value and cannot be exchanged or redeemed for any form of monetary refund.
    • Will not be replaced if lost, stolen, or destroyed.
    • Is valid for final payment only; it may not be applied to deposits or used retroactively.
    • Is considered null and void if altered, misused, or deemed invalid by Collette, even if previously applied. In such cases, the traveler will be responsible for the full cost of the booking prior to departure.
    • Is not eligible for cash back or credit if the total value is not fully used.
    • Is valid only when both land and air components are booked together through Collette.
    • May be combined with eligible union member benefits.
    • Is subject to all applicable Collette terms, conditions, and travel policies.

Travel must be booked for a guaranteed departure date and must depart within the specified timeframe and from the gateway city defined at the time of booking. No modifications or substitutions may be made to the tour or travel components covered by the certificate. Additional exclusions may apply. By using this certificate, the holder agrees to abide by all terms and conditions outlined herein and as determined by Collette. ARV: $10,000

  • “Other Prizes”:
    • Ten (10) First Prizes: $500 awarded in the form of a check. ARV: $5,000 total.
    • Ten (10) $100 Teleflora Gift Certificates. One-time use gift certificate is valid through 9/1/2026 and can only be redeemed online at www.UnionPlus.Teleflora.com  with the redemption code printed on the gift certificate. Gift certificates will not be redeemable on UnionPlus.Teleflora.com toll-free numbers. In the event that the total order amount (including applicable taxes and service charges) is less than $100, there is no cash back and the remaining amount cannot be applied toward future purchases and will be forfeited. The Customer Service Certificate (“Certificate) is redeemable only with the applicable Hertz brand (The Hertz Corp, Dollar Rent A Car, Thrifty Car Rental) identified on the reverse side (“Identified Brand”). The Certificate is not transferable between rental brands. Renter must satisfy the identified Rental Brand’s credit, age, rental and driver qualifications in effect at the time and place of rental. This Certificate will be honored at any participating Rental Brand rental locations in the United States for a rental from the Identified Rental Brand made in accordance with the Terms on the reverse side. A maximum of $400 may be used on any one rental. Charges in excess of that amount must be paid by acceptable means of payment. This Certificate is not transferable, may not be redeemed in whole or in part for cash and shall be deemed fully redeemed once surrendered. The value of this Certificate will be applied prior to any discounts, taxes and fees. This certificate is invalid if not used by June 30, 2026.     • Four (4) $100 Viator Gift Certificates. This certificate is valid for booking and travel by 6/30/26. This certificate is not transferable, may not be redeemed in whole or in part for cash and shall be deemed fully redeemed once surrendered. $1 minimum required purchase by the customer. ARV: $400 total.

Total ARV of all prizes is $18,400. Use of travel and gift certificates is subject to the terms, conditions and policies of the issuer. Gift certificate prizes will be delivered via email to the email address provided.

  • Prize Conditions. The following conditions are applicable to all prizes. LIMIT ONE (1) PRIZE PER PERSON/EMAIL ADDRESS/HOUSEHOLD. Prize(s) must be accepted as awarded. All characteristics and features of the prize(s) except as otherwise explicitly stated above are at the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. No substitution, cash redemption, sale or transfer of prize(s) is permitted except at Sponsor’s sole discretion or as provided herein. If a prize, or any portion thereof, cannot be awarded for any reason, Sponsor reserves the right to substitute such prize (or portion thereof) with an equivalent prize of equal or greater value, except as otherwise provided herein. PRIZE(S) IS AWARDED “AS IS” WITH NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WINNER(S) OF PRIZE(S) AGREES THAT SPONSOR, AND THE PROMOTION PARTIES, HAVE NEITHER MADE NOR ARE RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY WARRANTY, REPRESENTATION, OR GUARANTEE, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, IN FACT OR IN LAW, RELATIVE TO THE PRIZE(S), INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ITS QUALITY, CONDITION, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. All federal, state, and local taxes, and all other costs, expenses, and other requirements associated with acceptance or use of the prize(s) or not listed herein as the responsibility of Sponsor, are the sole responsibility of the applicable winner(s). You are not a winner until your prize claim is validated and you receive official written notification from the Sponsor or the Promotion Administrator. Arrangements for delivery of prize(s) will be made after winner validation. Prize(s) will be awarded only to an address within the Territory provided they are claimed properly in accordance with these Official Rules. At the Sponsor’s discretion, if a prize is not claimed properly in accordance with these Official Rules it may not be awarded. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. If due to a printing, production or other error, prize notifications are delivered to entrants in error or the number of prize notifications or claims exceeds the stated number of prizes stated in these Official Rules, the intended prizes will be awarded to those properly selected in accordance with these Official Rules or the Promotion Administrator may, in its sole discretion, select winners in a random drawing from among all eligible entrants or from among all persons holding verified and valid prize claims for such prizes.
  • Additional Terms for Grand Prize Winner: All travel dates and arrangements are subject to availability. All travel and prize-related activities will be coordinated through Sponsor, at Sponsor’s sole discretion. PLEASE BE ADVISED WINNER MUST POSSESS A MAJOR CREDIT CARD WHICH WILL BE REQUIRED AT HOTEL CHECK-IN TO COVER ANY MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES. Actual value of the trip portion of a prize will depend on airfare fluctuations and point of departure. Any difference between stated value and actual value will not be awarded. Winner must complete the trip by the following dates or prize may be forfeited, at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Trip must be booked at least ninety (90) days prior to departure. Dates of trip, location, and all travel arrangements / accommodations are at Sponsor's sole discretion and are subject to availability, blackout dates, and change. If, in the sole judgment of the Sponsor, air travel is not required due to winner’s proximity to trip destination, ground transportation may be substituted for round-trip air travel, but no additional compensation will be offered. All travel expenses not specifically listed, including but not limited to, transportation between winner’s home and major closest airport (as determined by Sponsor), ground transportation, meals, incidentals, gratuities, airline fees, fuel, surcharges (including NAV surcharges), airport fees, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees, taxes or other expenses, are winner’s and his/her travel companion’s responsibility and must be paid by winner with a credit card at the time of booking, where applicable. Winner and travel companion must travel on the same itinerary and must comply with all security requirements. If the winner or a winner’s travel companion is a minor in his/her state of residence, he/she must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian. Winner’s travel companion(s) (or travel companion's parent/legal guardian if travel companion is a minor) may be required to sign and return a travel/liability release, and where lawful, a publicity release within a stated amount of time as a condition of travel. Once travel documents are issued, neither travel arrangements nor travel companion(s) may be changed without the approval of Sponsor. Winner and his/her travel companion(s) may also be required to provide, upon request, sufficient information to ensure that he/she is not positive for COVID-19. Sponsor will not replace any lost, mutilated, or stolen tickets, travel vouchers or certificates. The Promotion Parties are not liable for delays, cancellations, or unforeseen events related to the flights. No liability or responsibility is assumed by any of the Promotion Parties resulting from or related to inability or failure of a winner and his/her travel companion(s) to travel or to participate in prize events and activities due to illness, any quarantine requirements, or other events beyond Sponsor’s control. Winner and his/her travel companion(s) are responsible for procuring adequate documentation for international travel, if required, or personal travel insurance prior to departure, if desired.
  • Odds of Winning: Odds of winning a prize depend on the number of eligible entries received.
  • Entrant Verification: In the event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an entry, the entry will be declared made by the natural person in whose name the entry was made. The Promotion Administrator reserves the right to require proof of identity and/or eligibility (in a form acceptable to the Promotion Administrator – including, without limitation, government issued photo identification) for any reason the Promotion Administrator deems necessary, in its sole discretion, for the purposes of administering this Promotion in accordance with these Official Rules. Failure to provide such proof to the complete satisfaction of the Promotion Administrator within the timeline specified by the Promotion Administrator may result in disqualification by the Promotion Administrator, in its sole discretion.
  • Disqualification: Entries which are incomplete, incorrect, incomprehensible, not received, or do not otherwise comply with these Official Rules (as determined by the Promotion Administrator in its sole and absolute discretion) will be void and will not be entered into or be eligible to win a prize in the Promotion's prize drawing(s). Entries made by facsimile, overnight courier, automated means, any entry service, or in any other manner not specifically allowed under these Official Rules will not be entered into the Promotion and may result in disqualification of the entries and the responsible entrant(s), as determined by the Promotion Administrator in its sole and absolute discretion. Promotion Administrator reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with or attempts to tamper with the entry process or who acts in a disruptive or unfair manner or who otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules.
  • Notification & Validation of Winners: Potential winners, at Promotion Administrator’s discretion, will each be contacted by telephone, email, regular mail or overnight mail, and may be required to complete, sign and return an affidavit or declaration of eligibility, a liability release, tax forms, and where lawful, a publicity release within a stated amount of time as a condition to receive any prize. Failure to comply will result in forfeiture of all rights to the prize(s). The return of any notification as undeliverable or failure to respond to notices or return any required documents or information in a timely manner or a determination that a potential winner is ineligible or not in compliance with these Official Rules, as determined by the Promotion Administrator, in its sole and absolute discretion, may result in disqualification and forfeiture of any prize without further notice and the selection of an alternate winner in a random drawing from among the remaining eligible entries.
  • Limitations: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Promotion Parties are not responsible for: (i) electronic or digital transmissions, entries or mail that are lost, late, stolen, incomplete, illegible, damaged, garbled, destroyed, misdirected, not delivered, or not received by Sponsor or Promotion Administrator for any reason; (ii) mail that is received postage-due; (iii) any problems or technical malfunctions, errors, omissions, interruptions, deletions, defects, delays in operation or transmission, communication failures (including but not limited to failures or malfunctions of phone lines, mail delivery service, telephone systems or other communications systems), destruction of or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries, or for printing, distribution or production errors; (iv) failed or unavailable hardware, network, software or telephone transmissions; (v) damage to entrants' or any person's computer; (vi) causes beyond Promotion Parties’ reasonable control that jeopardize the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this Promotion; (vii) incorrect or inaccurate entry information whether caused by entrants or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion; (viii) any typographical or other error in the printing or advertising related to the Promotion, in the administration or execution of the Promotion, or in the announcement/notification of prize winners; (ix) any human, or other error, which may occur in the promotion, administration, or execution of this Promotion; or (x) cheating or fraud by any participant. If for any reason an entrant’s entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Promotion, if possible.
  • Modification, Suspension and Termination: If for any reason this Promotion cannot be executed as planned, including but not limited to infection by virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, human error, legal mandate, social media mandate, pandemic, epidemic, or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor or Promotion Administrator that corrupt or affect the security, administration, integrity, fairness or proper conduct of this Promotion, or if this Promotion is compromised or becomes corrupted in any way, electronically or otherwise, Promotion Administrator reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to void suspect entries/entrants and/or modify, suspend and/or terminate this Promotion, including the selection of winners in a manner the Promotion Administrator deems fair and reasonable, including the selection of winners in a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to such modification, suspension or termination. Thereafter, the Sponsor reserves the right to accept no further entries and award no further prizes.
  • Limitation of Liability and Releases: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, by participating in this Promotion, entrants agree (and agree to confirm in writing): (a) that all causes of action arising out of or connected with this Promotion, or any prize awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (b) to release, defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Promotion Parties, YouTube, Google LLC, and their respective successors and assigns from and against any liability, loss, claim or cause of action whatsoever related to entrant’s participation in this Promotion, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property arising out of participation in this Promotion or the acceptance, possession, use, inability to use, or misuse of any prize received in this Promotion or the use of any photo, video or entry; and (c) to waive all rights to claim punitive, indirect, incidental and consequential damages, attorneys’ fees, court costs, or any damages other than actual out-of-pocket costs incurred to enter, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased.   • Media Release: By accepting a prize or participating in a prize related activity, each entrant consents to being filmed, recorded, and/or photographed in connection with such activity (collectively “Recordings”) and agrees that the Sponsor will have full ownership rights to such Recordings. Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Promotion constitutes each entrant’s permission for the Promotion Parties and their affiliates, agents, and agencies to use each entrant’s name, photograph, video, voice, likeness, biographical information, and/or any Recordings for advertising, publicity and promotional purposes in all media now known or hereinafter invented, worldwide, without compensation, notification, or permission.
  • Privacy: The personal information collected through this Promotion is subject to Sponsor’s Privacy Policy located at https://www.unionplus.org/page/privacy. In the event of any conflict between these Official Rules and this Privacy Policy, these Official Rules shall control. By entering this Promotion, each entrant agrees that the Sponsor, its agents and/or representatives (including the Promotion Administrator) may store, share and use the personal information he/she submitted with his/her entry for the purpose of administering the Promotion and agrees to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal information as described in these Official Rules, in the above Privacy Policy and as permitted by law.
  • Choice of Law, Jurisdiction & Notice: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of the entrant and Sponsor in connection with the Promotion, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, USA without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the State of California or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the State of California, USA. By entering, entrants irrevocably consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the federal and state courts located within the county of Santa Clara, California, USA for any action, suit or proceeding arising out of or relating to this Promotion.   • Severability & Conflicts: The invalidity, unenforceability, or illegality of any provision of these Official Rules shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. If any provision is determined to be invalid, unenforceable, or illegal, these Official Rules shall remain in effect and be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid, unenforceable, or illegal provision were not contained herein. Promotion Parties’ failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
